the butterfly is done in Maya. I used Maya to sent out alembic animation to Houdini.
but legs were done in Houdini. the new skinning tool in H16 is fantastic. without any extra work, legs were weighted correctly.
20 mil granular particles was used for the moving part and 20 mil for surroungin, just filling the space.
